ALBANY, Ore. (AP) - Albany police say they discovered three pounds of marijuana after responding to an altercation in which a father stabbed his adult son in the forearm.
The Albany Democrat Herald reports 58-year-old Alexander Robertson was charged with drug crimes as well as assault, unlawful use of a weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Meanwhile, his son - 20-year-old Lee Thomas Cates - faces a variety of marijuana-related charges.
Detectives say the wound on Cates’ left arm was about an inch in diameter and three inches deep.
His arm was in a sling at Wednesday’s arraignment.
Both men are due back in court next month.
