NEW YORK (AP) - Police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man inside a Queens barber shop.
Police say 34-year-old Cedric Simpson, of Queens, was arrested on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.
Police say Carl Richardson, of Queens, was found stabbed in the body at a barber shop on Merrick Boulevard just before 2 p.m. Thursday. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Simpson was taken into custody at the scene.
Police did not say what precipitated the violence.
