GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A Harrison County jury found Terrance Richard Campbell guilty of felony DUI.

District Attorney Joel Smith tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1duxUXp ) the felony charge was because he had two misdemeanor DUI convictions.

Circuit Judge Larry Bourgeois sentenced Campbell on Wednesday to the maximum of five years in prison after prosecutors pointed out Campbell had a conviction for sale of controlled substance.

He was arrested Sept. 27, 2012, after authorities responded to a domestic disturbance and he drove up, visibly impaired. He refused a field sobriety test, but authorities obtained a warrant to draw his blood.

He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.14, nearly twice the state’s legal limit of 0.08.
