CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - A Charlottesville woman charged with assaulting the wife of Virginia House Minority Leader David J. Toscano is due in court.

Claire Kennedy Ogilvie’s arraignment is set for Thursday afternoon in Charlottesville General District Court. She is charged with burglary, abduction and malicious wounding in the alleged Feb. 24 assault on Toscano’s wife, Nancy Tramontin. Police say Tramontin was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

In a statement released through a public relations firm after the attack, Tramontin said she and the 35-year-old Ogilvie became friends in 2010. She said the Toscanos distanced themselves from Ogilvie after she developed an “unsettling interest” in the family.
