KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) - A four-time Washington state girls wrestling champion who became an assistant coach for girls wrestling at Pasco High School pleaded not guilty to a charge of child molestation.
Sheridan Ann McDonald is accused of inappropriately touching a student.
The Tri-City Herald reports (https://bit.ly/QfODUz ) the 21-year-old Pasco Woman was released from jail after Tuesday’s appearance in Franklin County Superior Court.
Police started investigating in January after a girl’s father reported inappropriate conduct. The district fired McDonald Jan. 14.
As a senior at Kiona-Benton City High School in 2011 McDonald won her fourth state championship.
