INDIANOLA, Iowa (AP) - Fire crews in central Iowa are battling a blaze that has spread along a three-mile stretch near a highway.

Deputy Rob Fisher with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office says the fire began Wednesday afternoon west of Interstate 35 near Indianola. It has spread over an area about three miles long and up to a half mile wide. No injuries have been reported.

Fisher told The Des Moines Register (https://dmreg.co/1jLL2WH ) a small shed has been destroyed by the fire. He added that fire crews have put out multiple hot spots, and strong winds have sent clouds of smoke into neighborhoods.
