CHELSEA, Vt. (AP) - A former Vermont teacher and coach at Oxbow Union High School in Bradford has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a student more than a decade ago.
In a plea agreement, 44-year-old Brian H. Musty pleaded guilty on Friday to one count of sexual assault of a victim under 18 who was entrusted to his care.
He faces seven months in prison as part of the plea deal.
Musty, a physical education teacher who coached girls’ basketball, lacrosse and soccer, was accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female student over three years, starting in 1997.
