DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Rabbi Jack Moline - known as “Rahm Emanuel’s Rabbi” and author of a book of humor on growing up Jewish - will speak in Deerfield on April 2.
Moline - a friend of Chicago’s mayor - will speak on “How I Learned to be a Democrat from Hebrew School and the Prayer Book” at the Deerfield Public Library from 7 to 8:45 p.m.
His visit is sponsored by Tenth Dems University - a group dedicated to educating voters and developing political volunteers.
Moline has spent more than 30 years as a pulpit rabbi while volunteering in social justice, interfaith and public policy organizations. He is also executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council.
Moline grew up in Chicago and Wilmette but lives in Alexandria, Va.
