PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a 29-year-old woman accused of fatally shooting one man and wounding another outside a central Phoenix bar possibly had an altercation with somebody else at a nearby pub shortly before the killing.
Jessica Wood is being held on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in the Friday night shooting.
According to police, she approached two men and began shooting. One of the men died and the other was wounded.
A police probable cause statement says a woman with a description similar to Wood was involved in a confrontation with another patron at a nearby bar before the shooting.
Officer James Holmes says the shooting victims weren’t involved in the prior incident. He says police mentioned it to show Wood’s movements before the shooting.
