NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A Mansfield attorney who only had been practicing law a short time prior to his arrest last year on drug charges has been suspended for three years by the Louisiana Supreme Court.
The Times reports (https://bit.ly/1jDVxeG ) the Office of Disciplinary Council found that 30-year-old Timothy B. Holden violated several rules of professional conduct.
According to a Friday order, Holden was arrested on a marijuana possession charge and “misrepresented his history of marijuana use to the Committee on Bar Admissions and to a Lawyers Assistance Program evaluator.”
Holden was one of three men arrested Feb. 14, 2013, in Mansfield when Tri-Parish Drug Task Force agents raided a house, finding a one-pound brick of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. It’s unclear when his next court date is in that case.
