ELGIN, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State police say a loaded log truck failed to negotiate a curve, plunged down an embankment and rolled onto its side in a northeast Oregon creek.

The driver suffered only minor injuries in Monday’s crash. Lt. Gregg Hastings says the man was cited for failure to drive within a lane.

The crash happened along Highway 204 about a mile west of Elgin.

Senior Trooper Walt Anderson says the truck and trailer driven by 33-year-old Justin Wright of Summerville was eastbound. Anderson says it came out of a right curve, traveled onto the shoulder and down the embankment.

The Oregon Transportation Department and the logging company responded to remove the truck, trailer and logs from the creek.
