WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (AP) - The trial for a man charged with killing 5-year-old Evelyn Miller in 2005 has been delayed again.

Casey Frederiksen’s trial on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree sexual abuse had been set to begin May 6 after being delayed from its original start date of Oct. 28 last year.

Mason City television station KIMT says (https://bit.ly/1gV6DrX ) his attorneys requested another delay, which was granted Monday. The new trial date is Sept. 15.

The 34-year-old Frederiksen was arrested last fall and charged in the girl’s death in July 2005. Frederiksen was the live-in boyfriend of the girl’s mother.

The trial was moved to Hamilton County from Floyd County because of publicity about the case.
