House Finance continues work on education bill

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - The House Finance Committee continues its hearing Tuesday on the governor’s education bill.

Monday the committee heard a presentation from the Legislative Finance Division on the financial impact education funding will have on major budget reserves and how the state’s funding formula works.

Among the issues the committee will be reviewing is the per pupil allocation, charter school appeals process and tax credits toward education.
