CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) - A former youth minister in Chesterfield County faces up to 10 years in prison following his conviction on sex charges.

Fifty-three-year-old Troy A. Mitten is scheduled to be sentenced June 26.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1nWNXlD ) reports that Mitten entered Alford pleas on Monday in Chesterfield County Circuit Court to taking indecent liberties with two female teenagers in the 1990s. An Alford plea acknowledges the state has sufficient evidence to prosecute but isn’t an admission of guilt.

The victims were parishioners of the now-defunct Trinity Assembly of God where Mitten served as youth minister. They are now 32 and 35.
