Conroe store clerk fatally shot during robbery

CONROE, Texas (AP) - A clerk at a Houston-area convenience store has been fatally shot during a robbery.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says nobody has been arrested following the slaying Monday night at a store in Conroe.

Investigators say other customers were in the store when the clerk was held up at gunpoint, shot and then the attacker fled.

The victim was dead at the scene. His name wasn’t immediately released.
