Body of missing Natchez man found

NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - The body of a Natchez man who had been missing since Friday was discovered in his pickup truck Monday night.

Adams County Coroner James Lee tells The Natchez Democrat (https://bit.ly/1ixlmOf ) that 64-year-old Jerry Cupit was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lee says it appears Cupit’s pickup truck traveled down a 40-foot embankment off a county road before hitting a creek.

Lee says someone spotted Cupit’s truck Monday and called law enforcement officials.

Lee says Cupit sustained severe head injuries.

Lee says toxicology reports will be available in a few weeks
