BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Four people have been convicted of a poaching spree in Washington County.
The Idaho Department of Fish and Games says the 2012 spree left more than a dozen deer and three domestic cows dead.
The agency says the four defendants must pay more than $24,000 in penalties. Their hunting licenses were also revoked for between three and five years.
A tip led wildlife agents to the suspects, one of whom cooperated from the start.
Fish and Game conservation officer Mark Sands concluded the young men over a four-week period killed or wounded more than a dozen deer, protected birds, and all types of other wildlife. One of the defendants shot and killed three domestic cows.
