DALLAS, Ga. (AP) - Paulding County Sheriff’s officials have identified a man charged with fatally shooting a woman inside a Dallas hair salon.
Sheriff’s Cpl. Ashley Henson said in a statement that Robert Steven McDaniel was taken into custody Monday. McDaniel is charged with murder and is being held without bond in the county jail.
Details on the relationship between McDaniel and victim, and information on the circumstances that led to the shooting weren’t immediately available.
Henson says Paulding County deputies, detectives from Cobb County and other law enforcement officers were all eating lunch nearby and quickly arrested McDaniel without incident.
The victim’s identity hasn’t been released and Henson says investigators are having trouble notifying the woman’s family because her relatives live outside the country.
Dallas is about 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
