BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police say a 39-yar-old man who pleaded guilty to aggravated battery in a July machete attack then skipped his sentencing hearing in January was arrested Saturday after he allegedly shot at a woman inside a vehicle.

A bench warrant was issued Jan. 21 for Daniel Darnell Scott after he missed a sentencing hearing. Scott was accused of slashing a man in the face with a machete during a July street fight. He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of aggravated battery in December but missed the sentencing hearing in January.

On Saturday, The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1dGlBlF) police arrested Scott and booked him into Parish Prison on counts of aggravated assault.

It was unclear whether Scott has an attorney.
