PHOENIX (AP) - Bond is set at $54,000 for a track and field coach accused of having sexual conduct with a teenage girl over the past two months.
Bo Joseph Reed had his initial appearance Monday in Maricopa County Superior Court.
He doesn’t have an attorney yet and is facing an April 2 preliminary hearing.
Phoenix police say the 48-year-old Reed was arrested last Saturday after sexually explicit messages between him and a 17-year-old girl were found on her Facebook account.
Reed is a private track coach and authorities say he has been coaching the girl for the past three years.
Police say Reed was booked into jail on suspicion of eight counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
