HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (AP) - Police say a man who hit and killed a bicyclist in Half Moon Bay has turned himself in.

The San Jose Mercury News reports (https://bit.ly/OLfhUc ) that 23-year-old Bernabe Cervantes-Alvarado struck a cyclist Friday while driving north on Highway 1.

Police say the victim, a 67-year-old Half Moon Bay man, died from injuries after being struck by Cervantes-Alvarado’s Honda.



Cervantes-Alvarado turned himself in Friday night and was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run.

He is being held on $50,000 bail in San Mateo County Jail.
