NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Authorities say a Maryland man riding his motorcycle has died after a crash in Delaware.
The Delaware State Police says the crash happened Saturday around 8:40 p.m. in the area of East Chestnut Hill Road and South Kingston Road in Newark.
Troopers say 39-year-old Victor A. Cruz of Elkton, Md., was riding his motorcycle eastbound on East Chestnut Hill Road when he hit a truck making a left turn. Cruz, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle and then struck by the driver of a Honda CRV.
Cruz was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. No one else was hurt in the collision.
