MILLBROOK, Ala. (AP) - Police in Millbrook say a man who was shot during a home invasion robbery has undergone surgery and is in critical but stable condition.

Authorities say two men wearing bandanas forced their way into a man’s house early Saturday morning and demanded money. Police say one of the suspects fired a shot that traveled through the victim’s hand and into his upper torso.

Police Chief P.K. Johnson tells WSFA-TV (https://bit.ly/1moCc5w ) the man was trying to give one of the suspects money when he was shot. The man was taken to Baptist South Emergency with serious injuries.



A detailed description of the suspects wasn’t immediately available.
