LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A West Texas man charged with molesting a girl for years and allegedly giving her his ex-wife’s wedding ring has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography.
Federal prosecutors in Lubbock say 77-year-old Dale Wray Fulford of Slaton (SLAYT’-n) remains jailed pending sentencing. Fulford faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty Friday to production of child pornography.
Investigators say Fulford enticed a girl to engage in sexually explicit conduct that he recorded via digital camera. A grand jury last month indicted Fulford on the child porn production charge.
Fulford still faces charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child and sexual assault of a child. Prosecutors say Fulford helped the victim’s parents financially, looked after her at his house and gave the now-teenager his former wife’s ring.
