ROHNERT PARK, Calif. (AP) - Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a Northern California man whose death investigators believe was the result of a fight over a woman.
The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/1inloYY ) that 22-year-old Roy Kauwe died from several stab wounds to his neck.
Officers say 25-year-old Daniel Dieters called police saying he had just hurt or killed his friend.
Rohnert Park police Sgt. Jeff Justice says the two were arguing over a woman before the stabbing.
Justice says a 23-year-old woman was questioned by police and released. They did not reveal her name.
Kauwe’s sister Melissa Kauwe-Warner told the newspaper that her brother had just moved into his first apartment and had been working at Costco.
Dieters was arrested on suspicion of murder.
