ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - State Police report the arrests of 18 suspects in a drug sweep across Essex County in New York’s Adirondacks.

According to troopers, the roundup early Friday was part of ongoing investigations into drug sales.

Other police agencies involved were the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and police departments in Ticonderoga, Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Moriah.



The suspects ranged in age from 20 to 58. They include three from Moriah, seven from Ticonderoga, three from Port Henry and one each from Westport, Witherbee, Hudson Falls, Saranac Lake and Auburn.

Drugs that were seized included cocaine, methamphetamine, Suboxone, Tramodol, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, heroin and marijuana.
