PLATTEKILL, N.Y. (AP) - A 29-year-old Ulster County man was arrested after police found a stash of heroin and loaded weapons in a house along with a 6-year-old child.

Authorities in Kingston, about 100 miles north of New York City, say they received complaints that the drug was being sold from a home in the nearby town of Plattekill.

Police say that when they entered the house, suspect Mark Nugent pushed one officer and struggled with others.

A search of the house yielded 70 bags of heroin plus cocaine, a loaded shotgun, a rifle, a stun gun and about $2,600.

In addition to drug charges, Nugent faces several counts of criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child.

It was not clear whether Nugent had an attorney.
