MIAMI (AP) - Miami will be hosting a free health fair at a park dedicated to women.
A Miami-Dade County news release says the fair will be held Saturday at The Women’s Park. The statement says the park founded in 1992 was the first dedicated to women in the country.
The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will host the fair. The event will provide residents with direct access to important health and wellness resources, as well as information on recreational activities.
The Women’s Park is a 15-acre lakeside park featuring a walking path, a picnic pavilion, the Leona Ferguson Cooper Playground for children, and the Roxcy O’Neal Bolton Women’s History Gallery.
