LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A Lake Charles man arrested in a Thursday shooting at an anti-violence vigil was also arrested for involvement in a 2010 shooting that killed a 14-year-old girl.

Lake Charles police say Andre Jordan Broussard turned himself in after a Thursday shooting. The American Press reports (https://bit.ly/1dl397J) people were holding a vigil marking the anniversary of three killings at McMillan Park.

Two were shot, with one still hospitalized in critical condition.

The 22-year-old, charged with attempted second-degree murder, is jailed with bond of $350,000.

Broussard was charged with murder, obstruction of justice and inciting a riot in the 2010 death of Alexis Rankins, who was caught in a drive-by shooting. Broussard’s charges were dropped. Sean Newton, who shot Rankins, was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
