PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Filmmakers from across the world are heading to Maine for a week of screenings and independent films and documentaries about the Jewish experience.
The Maine Jewish Film Festival begins Saturday and extends through the week with screenings in communities including Portland, Waterville and Brunswick.
The event has brought more than 300 domestic and foreign films to Maine in its 17 years of existence The films vary from dramas to comedies and documentaries.
