RUSTON, La. (AP) - Two north Louisiana institutions have announced an effort to bring together groups interested in the security and protection of cyber assets.

The Cyber and Data Consortium was established by Louisiana Tech University in Ruston and the Cyber Innovation Center in Bossier City.

In a Friday news release, Tech said the consortium represents a broad range of constituencies with interests in cyber security threats, and the storage, management and use of large data sets for analytical and business decisions.

Consortium members will include representatives from Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and institutions of higher education from across the state.
