HOWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - A tow truck driver who was completing his last call for his company was killed when his truck collided with another vehicle on a central New Jersey highway.

Howell Township police say 42-year-old Raymond Lolargo of Toms River was driving southbound on Route 9 when his vehicle rear-ended a box truck around 1:10 a.m. Friday. Lolargo’s truck went out of control, striking the concrete center median.

Lolargo was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later. The driver of the box truck was treated for minor injuries.

The father of two daughters, Lolargo was working his last day at Statewide Roadside Assistance Towing of South Toms River. The company’s owner told the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1plsr5j) that Lolargo was leaving the firm because he was moving.
