ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say two people were shot to death in separate slayings in metro Atlanta.

Fulton County police found two men, both shot, inside a car near Old Bill Cook and Godby roads shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday. Fulton County police spokeswoman Kay Lester said one man was dead, and the other was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Police were questioning a witness in that shooting.

Later, around 8 a.m. Saturday, another deadly shooting was reported along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in southwest Atlanta. Officers found a body in the middle of the road.

Jerome Scott tells WSB-TV that he saw someone chasing the victim out of the woods. He said the chase ended in the middle of the street, where the victim was shot multiple times.
