SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The University of Sioux Falls has hired Josh Snyder as its new director of athletics.

Snyder most recently served as senior associate athletics director for compliance and development at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He joined UMKC from Boise State University, where he served as executive director for NCAA compliance after serving at Iowa State University in three senior athletic leadership positions.

USF President Mark Benedetto made the announcement at a news conference Friday afternoon.

Benedetto says Snyder proved to be an impressive candidate with vast experiences in athletic development and NCAA compliance.

Snyder will take on the new role May 1.
