MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. (AP) - Douglas County sheriff’s officers say a 14-year-old boy and his 95-year-old great-grandfather have died in a house fire east of the southern Oregon community of Myrtle Creek.

The Register-Guard reports (https://is.gd/qQvHf5 ) that homeowners identified as Larry and Naomi Brubaker escaped the fire early Friday morning but were treated for smoke inhalation.

Sheriff’s officers say 14-year-old Spencer Brubaker and 95-year-old Pitchlynn Harris died in the blaze at a double-wide mobile home.



Authorities learned of the fire at about 4:30 a.m. Investigators say it is not suspicious.
