LAS VEGAS (AP) - A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit and ownership dispute that stalled a plan to raffle more than two dozen puppies rescued from a Las Vegas pet shop fire almost eight weeks ago.

Representatives of The Animal Foundation nonprofit group and a managing owner of the Prince and Princess pet shop said Friday a raffle of 25 puppies will go forward, with tickets costing $250.

Two older dogs rescued from the Jan. 27 fire will be placed with the rescue group A Home 4 Spot to be adopted out.

The civil lawsuit is being dropped.

Ownership became a dispute after store owner Gloria Lee and a co-defendant, Kirk Bills, were arrested and accused of setting the fire for the insurance money.

They’re due for trial July 7.
