BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A western New York 15-year-old has been convicted of murder for shooting a 16-year-old to death following a fight over a photo.
A jury in Buffalo convicted Myles Taylor on Thursday following a weeklong trial and seven hours of deliberations.
Taylor was 14 when he shot Kelmyne Jawon Jones last July. As a juvenile offender, he faces a maximum of 15 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced in April.
The Buffalo News (https://bit.ly/1lambA0 ) reports that the shooting followed a fight over a Twitter photo of the victim that had been taken on another teenager’s front porch when he wasn’t home.
