LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man who pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting three women on Los Angeles streets has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

City News Service reports 24-year-old Allen Phillip Crews was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Crews entered pleas earlier this month to kidnapping, assault, rape and sexual penetration by a foreign object.

Prosecutors say Crews beat and sexually assaulted a 35-year-old woman in June 2012, knocking out her teeth. They say the same day he forced a 41-year-old woman into an alley using a fake gun and raped her.

Prosecutors say three days later, he raped a 40-year-old woman at a bus stop.

Crews was arrested after police saw him running from a bus bench where the woman lay unconscious.
