JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - A man charged with fatally shooting a visitor to his ex-girlfriend’s home has told a judge he plans to hire his own attorney.

The Jackson Sun reported (https://bit.ly/1oGmmC0 ) that 37-year-old Ytockie Fuller of Jackson is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 27 and remains in custody without bond.

Police say Fuller shot and killed 64-year-old Aljernon Lloyd Jr. on March 11.



Investigators determined that Lloyd was sitting in his car at a female friend’s house when Fuller approached with a gun.

Police believe Fuller confronted Lloyd and shot him as he was trying to leave.
