TOQUERVILLE, Utah (AP) - Authorities have identified the 58-year-old woman found shot dead in her home in Toquerville earlier this week.

Washington County deputies say Geraldine Bommarito was found dead early Wednesday. They also say the 17-year-old boy they took into custody after the incident knows her, although he’s not related to her.

Deputies responded a little after midnight Wednesday to reports that a home was burglarized and guns were stolen.

Sgt. Dave Crouse says a tipster later called in to report seeing a car that had been in the area of the break-in.

Deputies say they ran the license plate and traced it to a home separate from the place where the burglary was reported, and found Bommarito had been killed.

Authorities say her stolen vehicle was found burned near Springdale.
