LUMBERTON, Miss. (AP) - A cash bond of $150,000 has been set for a man who allegedly stabbed a convenience store manager eight times.

The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/1nJ61zi ) 29-year-old Lamont Williams, who made his initial appearance Thursday, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Lumberton Police officials said surveillance videos show Williams walking into the Keith’s Chevron on U.S. 11 and stabbing the manager on duty eight times Wednesday morning.



Officials said they believe Williams was a disgruntled former store employee.

Williams remains at the Lamar County Correctional Facility.

It was unclear whether Williams has an attorney.
