Police: Boy, 4, accidentally shot himself

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Milwaukee police say they believe a 4-year-old boy accidentally shot himself after finding a handgun in his home.

A police spokesman said Thursday the boy is still being treated at a hospital.

WISN-TV (https://bit.ly/1gXMMch) reports a 35-year-old man who lives at the Milwaukee home was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The shooting happened about 5 p.m. Wednesday at a home on Milwaukee’s north side.

Authorities say many of the witnesses to the shooting are children.
