PASCO, Wash. (AP) - A Pasco homeowner will not be charged for fatally shooting a man who forced his way into his house.

Franklin County Prosecutor Shawn Sant said Wednesday that Rudy Ontiveros was afraid for his life and family and justified in shooting Stephan S. Aceves in self-defense.

The 28-year-old Pasco man had been drinking at a family gathering earlier on Feb. 14, went outside and apparently mistook the Ontiveros home for a relative’s home around the corner.

The Tri-City Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1nGcOd7) Ontiveros is a nuclear plant security guard.
