KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) - A four-time Washington state girls wrestling champion who became an assistant coach for girls wrestling at Pasco High School is accused of kissing and inappropriately touching a student.

Sheridan Ann McDonald was charged Wednesday in Franklin County Superior Court with child molestation.

The Tri-City Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1eW6Taz) the 21-year-old Pasco woman has been in custody since Friday on $10,000 and is next due in court Tuesday.

Police started investigating in January after a girl’s father reported inappropriate conduct. The district fired McDonald Jan. 14.

As a senior at Kiona-Benton City High School in 2011 she won her fourth state championship.
