KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - An official says a Western Michigan University student has died at a dorm and she may have had a pre-existing medical condition.
The Kalamazoo Gazette and WOOD-TV report the freshman died at Eicher Hall on the school’s campus in Kalamazoo.
University spokeswoman Cheryl Roland says the death was reported about 2 a.m. Thursday and the school’s Public Safety department is investigating.
The student’s name and hometown weren’t immediately released. Counselors are being made available for students at the school.
