Vegas police name man sought in shooting on 215 Beltway ramp and earlier apartment shooting

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say they’re looking for a man for questioning in a fatal shooting at a busy southeast Las Vegas freeway off-ramp and shots fired about 10 minutes earlier at an apartment complex just south of the Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas police said Friday they’re looking for 27-year-old Joseph Ryan Lucero in the 7:30 p.m. Thursday slaying at the 215 Beltway-Eastern Avenue off-ramp and the earlier shooting at the Manor Suites complex.

Police say a man in a black Jeep was shot several times before his vehicle crashed into other vehicles on Eastern Avenue.

The motorist was pronounced dead at a hospital. His name wasn’t immediately made public.

Police released a September 2012 jailhouse photo of Lucero from an aggressive driving case that was later dismissed.
