INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Police say an Indianapolis high school student reported being raped inside a school locker room by another student.
Police say a 17-year-old girl who’s a student at Lawrence Central High School was attacked by a 16-year-old boy.
Lawrence police Capt. Gary Woodruff tells WTHR-TV that the students were in a common area of the school Tuesday afternoon and wound up in a locker room. Woodruff says the students knew each other but had no previous relationship.
Woodruff tells WRTV the girl immediately reported the attack to administrators of the 2,500-student school on the city’s northeast side. The boy has been arrested on a preliminary charge of rape.
