COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Columbia residents are getting a free opportunity to get some important information about their health.

A health and wellness fair that’s free and open to the public is taking place Thursday at the Drew Wellness Center in Columbia.

Screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and BMI are being offered. Vendors with information on nutrition, meal preparation and cancer awareness also will attend.

The fair includes opportunities to health care reform and self-defense classes, as well as fitness demonstrations.
