GEORGETOWN, S.C. (AP) - The Coast Guard is investigating an oil sheen found on the Sampit River in Georgetown.

The oil was spotted late Wednesday afternoon.

The Coast Guard sent a small boat and the crew said the oil was coming from the ArcelorMittal Steel Mill. The Coast Guard says plant officials are investigating the cause of the spill.

A contractor has been hired to clean up the sheen.
