MAGNOLIA, Ark. (AP) - The Southern Arkansas baseball team has won both ends of a doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist.
Southern Arkansas won Saturday’s games by scores of 12-3 and 7-0.
In the opener, the Muleriders fell behind 1-0 through two innings as the Tigers got a pair of two-out hits in the top of the second inning to plate their first run of the game. In the bottom of the third inning, however, the Muleriders would score three runs to take a 3-1 lead. The big blow in that frame was a two-run homerun by Carver Rademacher.
In the nightcap, three pitchers combined to allow four hits while striking out eight batters en route to the 7-0 shutout.
The Muleriders now prepare for a non-conference game against Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday.
